So sorry, I thought I'd started this thread at the weekend. Embarassed

Anyway, after several hiccups trying to get back in you finally made it. A testament to perseverance. Very Happy

We are delighted you're here.

Hi Poppy. You do know that your avatar disturbs me. Is that a plant or a mushroom? Confused

LOL. I'm not Poppy, but it's a Poppy seedhead. If you score around it, you get opium Shocked

Silver's correct. It's a poppyseed head. That photo popped up when I googled images for "poppycock" and it just tickled my fancy. I hope you like my new avatar.

The new avatar is lovely Poppy, but you didn't have to change it on my account. I was just remarking that it's, uh, unusualness (read that to mean phallic qualities) was a bit, um, noteworthy. Wink I think you know I'm no prude easily offended.

I didn't think anyone was really offended but it wasn't all that attractive so it was time I turned over a new "fig" leaf. Wink

Wink Laughing

The first avatar was exactly right, but this one is really pretty! I've never seen blue poppies before. I love the little red ones that grow wild in the south of Spain. My mother grows red ones, but they're enormous, not delicate at all.

Every waking nanosecond, someone, somewhere is being offended by something. The way of it these days seems to be more geared towards "I'm offended by that and therefore you shall not say/do it" whereas it should be geared towards "ok, that doesn't sit very well with me but because that's on account of my way of thinking and not theirs, it's wrong to complain about it."
