I haven't seen it but have heard good things about it.
Is it similar in style to West Wing do you know? _________________ Girls are like phones. We love to be held and talked to, but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected! |

The show had been on for quite some time before I watched an episode (must of clashed with something else I watched) but you are so right, it is a great legal drama and very funny.
James Spader (Alan)and William Shatner (Denny) are simply marvelous in their roles .... well actually it a great cast altogether .... but I just love the relationship between these two men.
I wouldn't mind joining them for a scotch and cigar at the end of a long day.

I wasn't a fan of his either .... but he is very good and terribly unPC in this series .... he even fired a woman for being too fat and they made a truely hilarious episode out of it. |

William Shatners character has early Alzhiemers (SP?) in this latest series. Touching and funny at the same time.
You're never really sure if he is suffering from an 'episode' or using it as an excuse to come on to some woman in the lift. |

I never watched West Wing so I don't know. I think you'd enjoy BL if you ever get a chance to see it. |

| I like Boston Legal, although I tend to forget when it's on and miss it. I haven't seen a new episode in a while, but maybe that's a result of the writer's strike (or I'm just missing it). I love James Spader, and this role is just perfect for him. I usually find William Shatner obnoxious, but that works to his advantage as Denny Craine. Alan and Denny certainly do have a unique relationship! I used to watch The Practice, which this series is a spin-off of (Alan worked for them, but they fired him, and Denny Craine handled his lawsuit against them). |

Oh I loved to watch The Practice, you Americans do legal drama and hospital dramas such as ER and St Elsewhere so well.
I must have missed a series of The Practice as I can't recall Denny and Alan being in it. |

I've recently start watching Eli Stone. If you get it over there and like quirky legal dramas, definitely check this one out!
I managed to catch a new Boston Legal this week. Judging from the introductory scenes, I did miss at least one episode. I like the political commentary they work into the show, although they did go a bit overboard in this one and managed to bring the Iraq war into several cases. Of course, in one, there were objections by opposing counsel as to what the Iraq war had to do with a case involving a vet of the Vietnam war. Eli Stone had a socially relevant case this week, too, in which they sued a zoo for separating a pair of gay chimpanzees. |
