It seems some clichés are not entirely unjustified...

TV shows like that are painful to watch. It's hard to believe people can know so little!

Yeah, he really seems to be funny - although I'm not fond of mysoginistic jokes - but this woman does make herself an easy target. I hope she's better at maths than she is at geography...

I rarely watch TV shows - I hardly watch TV at all, in fact. I think that this one has been adapted in France, but it didn't last even one season. It always asounds me to see how far some people are ready to got for a few minutes on a TV show and the prospect of easy money. At least this show is pretty funny and friendly, but some are realy humiliating for the contestants.

I also wonder how they chose the participants...

That's Jeff Foxworthy, VG. I've never seen the show but I believe that the premise has to do with whether or not the contestants are 'smarter' than a 5th-grader.

The girl is Kelly Pickler who won that singing contest - oh, what the hell is it called - the one with Simon whatshisname! My mind is a complete blank.

Anyway, her 'quote' is featured in our March issue of Readers' Digest!!

I felt quite embarrassed for her as I watched that particular episode of Fifth Grader. They had a celebrity week.

Laughing Too funny. It is amazing there are that many dumb people in the world. They all seem to know just enough to get by. The only smart people on game shows seem to be on Jeopardy.

I like Jeopardy. It is fast paced and as you say they only have smart people on it....they have to be as some of the questions are quite difficult and they cannot spent several minutes answering one question like most of the other shows.

I have been watching Jeopardy! since I was a kid and Art Fleming was host! It's always been my favorite. These days, friends and family know not to phone me between 7:30 and 8:00 PM, because I will not answer the phone. Cool

I love it when it happens that I get the Final Jeopardy, and none of the contestants do! Of course, sometimes it happens the other way 'round, too...

We're Jeopardy junkies in my family and have to watch it every night. We try to answer before the contestants and each other. It a badge of honor to get Final Jeopardy when the TV contesants don't. We're just a bit competetive.

I couldn't watch it without saying the 'questions' out loud. If I have a friend over, I apologize in advance when it's about to come on, because I will be shouting them out. Of course, they're welcome to participate, too!

Laughing Laughing

Last summer our oldest had a group of friends over for dinner. The were 7 girls who had just graduated from 4years of college. Probably over a million dollars in college costs alone and not one of them had any clue where Tel Aviv was Confused

I love the way Nathan, the fifth grader, is laughing at her. That really is quite embarressing.
