Great pics! Doesn't look like the tenerife I remember mind you. Was there for a week about 2 years ago booked into appartments on the veronicas strip, not knowing beforehand that it was chav central. Jeez! Was a nightmare. Couldn't wait to get back on the plane. Shocked

Yes, you'll note there are no photos of Playa de las Americas. Really didn't like it there at all, but I think most European countries have these over commercialised areas.

yer.. i won't be back there in a hurry. It was basically a slum. Apartment was quite nice though - had character about it. Just that area was vile. Might as well have booked a week in Romford or Ilford. Laughing

Nice photos!

I love the Spanish word for prickly pear - chumbera. When I used to go by train from Madrid to Andalucia, I knew I was getting close when I started seeing the chumberas, so they have a pleasant association in my mind. The little red poppies, too.
