I'm reading a book about the Knights Templar and The Ark. One question it asks is if the Ark actually exists. I can already tell the book thinks so. It also mentions some very fascinating archaeological evidence regarding the Prophet Samuel and King David.

If anyone's interested, I'll relate some more.

Im interested in this subject-aswell as the holy Grail-one thing that confused me abou the Da vinci code furore was that he wasnt disproving the existance or divinity of Christ-just saying that he may have had kids-whats so shocking about that-he was a man,and men have kids.

I suppose the idea that He had sex may sully the concept of his purity. But what is probably more important is that He was unmarried, and many Christian religions are opposed to out-of-wedlock sex.

Plus, if He did have children, then it may imply that the Roman Catholic church has been wrong all along, about requiring priests to remain celibate! Wink

yes well the catholic church is wrong about a lot of stuff-ever looked at their gold plastered churches-im sure the bible says something along the lines that "you come into this world with nothing, and you shall leave with nothing".

Well, you asked what was so shocking, and so I assumed you were talking about Catholics, who were probably the most shocked. If you would care to specify which group of shocked people you were talking about other than Catholics, perhaps someone will have a different answer for you.

All of the pretty stuff you see in Catholic Churches isn't their wrongdoing. That all started back around Charlemagne's time. At tht time (and even now) financing beautiful Churches was a way to prove yourself as a pioius aristocrat or Royal. Blame the elite!

I need to post a few things on this thread that I promised but I'm just now waking up from the dead. I started back to work this week for the first time in forever, and it's kicked my ass! I'm an insurance temp right now, adjusting the Tesco Petrol Contamination claims. They thought there were only going to be around 5000 claims but turns out it's over 20000! They're swamped, hence I'm a temp.

It's called The Templars and the Ark of the Covenant. The title alone makes me take it in with a grain of salt. It doesn't make any wild claims, however.
