I saw 300 on Saturday night and I liked it. I think the storyline is quite amazing and with all the special effects, it makes this movie extra special to watch.
If I could give it a score between 1 and 10, I'd give it a 7....because I think the end makes it a bit dragging. |

I just heard that Persepolis will be presented in Cannes in the official selection. I'm eager to hear the critics. _________________ Sit on the banks of the river and wait for the corpse of your enemy. - Indian proverb. |

| What can you say? It's a completely different mindset, and is so strange to free-thought. |

Persepolis was awarded the Jury price, ex aequo with Silent Light, by Carlos Reygadas. Golden Palm goes to 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, a Romanian film about abortion during the Ceausescu regime.

I've seen Persepolis last week (actually, I saw it twice, once with a friend and once with my family... ) It's very faithful to the original book (though it has been slightly shortened, which makes one of the last dream scenes slightly unclear, but it's a detail). The voices and the music are good and really add another dimension compared to the books.
On the myspace page I already mentioned there are teasers and one track from the OST (Eye of the Tiger sung in a melancholy tone by Chiara Mastroianni - Marjane's voice in the film.) _________________ Sit on the banks of the river and wait for the corpse of your enemy. - Indian proverb. |
