I knew I shouldn't have started it...I'm not a Theosophist. Actually some Theosophists suggest some really weird stuff...Jesus Christ was a reincarnation of Krishna..that He wasn't a man at all, but some kind of super being who wasn't crucified, but was kind of evaporated on a cross shaped table by occult means.... because like any kind of similar non mainstream religious organisations The Theosophist Society is full of weirdos and losers...and it's founder was heavily influenced by eastern religions and cultures. I did not really want to bring that up...but I can't explain my religious belief without it. I wanted answers...what I learned about Theosophy gave me them. It gave me explanations for everything I needed to know, without in any way compromising my Christian beliefs. I'm sure what I believe is right...I haven't really told you what it is, though...have I?

Not really Wink but I'm also interested in why you believe.

You say you are sure what you believe is right, why are you so sure?

Have you had a major spiritual epiphany?

Ultimately I'm sure that you believe your religious views are right, but that's the same for everyone around the world, every religious person is convinced their views are the right ones. There is no way of really knowing who's views are actually correct. As we've seen in the discussion many religious beliefs such as creationism or even the existence of God are untestable. Doesn't this cause you to reflect for a moment and think "I might be wrong?"

It might be a good idea to create a new thread regarding faith, religion etc. Perhaps create a new section on the board for this?

I suppose this should go to the suggestion box...
