It seems the possibility of a major recession in the UK is just over the horizon. The government needs to act now if a crisis is to be averted. I know from my own experience that jobcentres have already seen a huge increase in unemployed numbers and it is steadily rising.

So far we're managing fine. we havent changed our lifestyles or altered the ammount we spend on food, clothes and luxuries but we have felt the pinch at the petrol pump and the gas and electricity bills.
I dont know how we'll fare once the recession sets in, probably have to budget a bit more and buy more economy products. _________________ http://www.realradioyorkshire.co.uk/ |

Look on the bright side - it will be easier to find a copy of the Big Issue in future.... _________________ .

| So far I've only noticed the employment market is a bit dire. I've been keeping my eye out for a new job for ages now and there's just not a lot doing - but it's been like that for about a year or something now, but with redundancies on the rise it doesn't help. |
