Who here speaks Spanish-i certainly need to as im going to be living and working in Barcelona, teaching English-i am assured that for the job itself a knowledge of Spanish isnt necessary, but thats beside the point-im not in work all the time and i dont want to be one of the typical brits abraod who thinks that being understood simply requires him to raise his voice.

Im due to arrive in Barcelona in Feb next year, and i arrive back in the UK in november this year-im thinking of signing up to an intensive spanish course-ie, one which invoves 8 hrs of spanish a day. If anyone wants to write me up an idiots guide to basic spanish phrases, feel free.

Ha, ha, I could be very devious and tell you quite different things than what I say they mean!

Just basic stuff really-of course, im going to be working with spanish children and young adults-teaching them English, so anything that didnt sound to formal, if that makes sense, would probably benefit me-however, i do also need to be able to occasionally have adult conversations Very Happy

Why couldnt i have got a job in Italy, i speak fluent italian........oh thats right, there wasnt one on offer
