..a victim of card fraud this week.
They took £500 from my account in six ATM transactions in Argentina this week
Has it happened to anyone else, lately?.. My sister and a friend of mine have had the same thing happen to them this year. |

| I have not had it happen to us, but it is something that scares the hell out of me. I wish you luck straightening it all out. Is yourbank co-operating with you and reimbursing you? |

Crikey, hope you will be able to be reimbursed CG. It's not happened to me, touch wood, and I have actually got insurance cover for it. _________________ Girls are like phones. We love to be held and talked to, but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected! |

It happened to my hubby earlier this year, three transactions from America on the same day, totalling £600.00, the credit card company spotted unusual activity on the card and and notified hubby by phone on that day. They said that he'd have had to have a time machine to whizz across to the different states where the transactions had taken place and then get back home to the UK in time for tea.
I'm a second card holder and had used the card that same day in a department store in the UK. The CC company said they knew mine was a genuine transaction reimbursed the amount of the fraudulent transactions. |

We got a call last week asking about activity on one of our cards. Turns out it was a lot of charges all in small amounts (Napster etc) in the UK. The credit card company picked it up as that is a sign of fraud. They use the small charges to see if the number is valid then start putting large charges on it. |

This happens more frequently than we like to admit.
It's not happened to 'us' so far ... touch wood, but we have had our vehicle broken into.
We were just at the end of a super hols visiting 3 weeks in Tortola B.V.I. (very relaxing) .... and a totally different but enjoyable week in Disneyworld.
We had an hour to kill before going to the airport in Miami an decided to pop into a local Wax Museum. We thought ourselves very lucky as the parking space was very up close to the line going in .... but, when we came out we found the car ransacked with camera's and over $1,000 missing ..... well atleast we could claim for the camera.
