well VG I hate to split hairs, and at the risk of upsetting the Matron and getting banned for being argumentative....
Your quote only says "50%..." and that on average they are 2kg heavier - therefore with a population of 60.7m, that would suggest that there is an imbalance in the region of 59million tons..... (the equivalent of 13m African elephants).
So therefore, I would contend that there IS a bigger half....
